It is a premium multisport smartwatch designed for users who want advanced fitness tracking, health monitoring, navigation and everyday smartwatch functionality in one device. It combines a bright sapphire-protected AMOLED display with dual-band GPS, more than 170 sports modes, advanced running tools, strength training, golf, swimming and diving features. Unlike the more specialised Amazfit Cheetah series, which is heavily focused on running, the Balance 2 takes a broader approach. It is designed for users who participate in multiple types of training while also wanting sleep tracking, recovery analysis, health monitoring, Bluetooth calling and smart features. Amazfit lists up to 21 days of typical battery life, up to 33 hours of accurate GPS tracking and up to 67 hours in power-saving GPS mode. Amazfit Balance 2 Design and Build The Balance 2 combines a premium-looking aluminum alloy frame with a fiber-reinforced polymer case. At approximately 43g without the strap, it remains relatively lightweight despite its large battery and extensive feature set.The watch measures 47.4 × 47.4 × 12.3mm and uses two physical buttons for navigation and control. The included 22mm silicone strap fits wrists measuring approximately 140–210mm. The use of sapphire glass provides increased resistance to everyday scratches, while the 10 ATM water-resistance rating makes the Balance 2 substantially more suitable for water activities than the original Amazfit Balance. Amazfit rates the watch for pressure equivalent to 100 metres or 328 feet of static water depth for up to 10 minutes. This rating should not be interpreted as permission for every type of underwater activity at that depth. Display The Balance 2 features a 1.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a 480 × 480-pixel resolution and 323 ppi pixel density. Its display can reach up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, helping workout statistics, maps and notifications remain easier to view outdoors. The touchscreen is protected by durable sapphire glass for improved resistance against scratches during everyday use and training. AMOLED technology also provides strong contrast and deep blacks, making the watch faces and workout interfaces look vibrant while keeping the display easy to read indoors. GPS and Navigation The Balance 2 uses a dual-band GPS system with a circularly polarised GPS antenna and support for six satellite positioning systems. This is designed to improve positioning reliability in challenging environments such as areas surrounded by tall buildings or trees. The watch supports downloadable topographic maps and offline route planning. Recent software updates have also added offline route creation, GPS heading within topographic maps and improved map interaction. The latest 2026 software also allows up to 100 routes to be stored on the watch, making it useful for runners, hikers, cyclists and other outdoor users who want access to routes without depending on a continuous smartphone connection. Sports Tracking The Balance 2 supports 170+ sports modes, making it considerably more versatile than a smartwatch designed primarily around one sport. Supported activities include running, cycling, swimming, strength training, golf, skiing and diving. The watch can also automatically recognise selected activities and provides specialised tracking for strength workouts. For advanced athletes, the Balance 2 supports external accessories including heart-rate belts, running power meters, cycling power meters, speedometers, cadence sensors and Stryd footpods. Running Features The Balance 2 provides a range of tools designed for runners, including Track Run mode, Smart Trajectory Correction, Virtual Pacer and HYROX Virtual Pace.It also supports equivalent pace information. This feature takes factors such as personal physiological data, fitness level and gradient changes into account to help convert uphill and downhill effort into an equivalent flat-running pace. This can be particularly useful when running on hilly routes, where conventional pace alone may not accurately represent the effort being produced. The feature was added through a 2026 software update. HYROX Features One of the Balance 2’s newer fitness features is dedicated HYROX support. The watch includes an official HYROX Race Mode, HYROX Virtual Pace and structured HYROX training templates. The 2026 software updates also introduced additional HYROX strategy and training functionality, allowing users to prepare for different race formats and monitor progress against their target pace. The watch can also work with compatible Stryd devices for HYROX-related pace metrics. Strength Training The Balance 2 includes smart strength-training features capable of recognising 25 strength-training movements. It can help users record repetitions and organise strength workouts while keeping training information available through the Zepp App. Users can also create training templates and configure interval workouts, making the watch suitable for gym users as well as runners and endurance athletes. Golf Features The Balance 2 is also designed for golfers, with downloadable golf-course maps covering more than 40,000 courses. Golf functionality can provide course information and help golfers navigate the course directly from the watch. This makes the Balance 2 a more versatile option for users who participate in both fitness training and recreational golf. Diving and Water Sports With its 10 ATM water resistance, the Balance 2 is designed for substantially more demanding water activities than a typical everyday smartwatch. Amazfit supports both freediving and recreational scuba diving, with diving-related software features including depth calculation and ascent/descent detection. However, you should always follow appropriate diving safety procedures and never rely solely on a smartwatch for critical dive-safety decisions. Health Monitoring The Balance 2 uses the BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor with a 5PD + 2LED configuration for continuous health and fitness monitoring. It can monitor heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and stress throughout the day. The watch also provides sleep tracking, including sleep stages, REM sleep, daytime naps, sleep schedule, sleep breathing quality and sleep HRV. Additional sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometric sensor, ambient light sensor, geomagnetic sensor and temperature sensor. Health measurements are intended for general wellness and fitness purposes and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical diagnosis. Amazfit Balance 2 Recovery and Training Intelligence The Balance 2 goes beyond basic activity tracking with Amazfit’s HybridCharge Energy Intelligence. This system combines BioCharge, LifeLoad and Training Load information to provide a broader picture of training capacity and recovery. Recent software updates have also replaced the previous Full Recovery Time concept with Next Hard Session, providing an estimate of when the body may be ready for another high-intensity workout. For users following structured training programmes, Zepp Coach provides personalised training guidance, while PeakBeats analyses workout performance and training status. Amazfit Balance 2 Battery Life The Balance 2 has a 658mAh battery, giving it considerably more endurance than many conventional AMOLED smartwatches. Typical Use: Up to 21 days Heavy Use: Up to 10 days Accurate GPS: Up to 33 hours Power-Saving GPS: Up to 67 hours Amazfit states that a full charge takes approximately 2 hours. Actual battery life varies depending on GPS usage, health monitoring, display settings, Bluetooth connectivity and other features. Smart Features The Balance 2 is not limited to fitness tracking. It includes a microphone and two speakers, enabling Bluetooth calling when connected to a compatible smartphone. Zepp Flow provides voice-based interaction with the watch, allowing users to perform selected functions using voice commands. Android users can also type message replies using a full QWERTY keyboard or dictate replies using speech-to-text, although the availability of specific messaging functions depends on the connected phone and software. Connectivity The watch supports Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth Low Energy and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. It connects to smartphones through the Zepp App for synchronisation of fitness, health and training information. The Balance 2 supports Android 7.0 and later and iOS 15.0 and later. Fitness data can also be synchronised with supported third-party platforms including Strava, adidas Running, TrainingPeaks through Terra, komoot, Relive, Google Fit and Apple Health.
