It is a large-screen fitness smartwatch designed for users who want extensive workout tracking, health monitoring, GPS navigation and long battery life without moving into Amazfit’s premium Balance or T-Rex range. It combines a large 2.07-inch AMOLED display with built-in GPS, 4GB of storage, 150+ sports modes, Bluetooth calling and advanced training features. The Bip Max is particularly aimed at users who combine different types of exercise, including gym training, running, group fitness and hybrid workouts. Amazfit also includes a built-in Training Library, Zepp Coach and integrations with platforms such as TrainingPeaks, Runna and Strava. Large 2.07-inch AMOLED Display The Bip Max features a large 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a 432 × 514-pixel resolution and 324 PPI. The panel can reach up to 3,000 nits peak brightness, providing strong visibility when checking workout statistics, notifications, maps and other information outdoors. The display uses tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint coating. Amazfit notes that the maximum 3,000-nit brightness is subject to conditions such as battery level and automatic brightness settings. Large Screen Without Excessive Weight The Bip Max uses an aluminium alloy frame and plastic case. It measures 42.76 × 49.58mm and is 13.24mm thick when measured including the heart-rate sensor. With its strap attached, the watch weighs approximately 52.6g. It is available in Silver, Dark Blue and Carbon Gray, with a two-button layout and a 22mm liquid-silicone strap. Up to 20 Days of Battery Life The Bip Max has a 550mAh battery, giving it considerably longer endurance than many conventional smartwatches. Amazfit rates it for up to 20 days of typical use, up to 10 days with heavy use and up to 7 days when using the always-on display mode. For outdoor workouts, continuous GPS operation is rated for up to 40 hours. Actual battery life varies depending on GPS use, display brightness, health monitoring, Bluetooth calls, notifications and other settings. Built-in GPS with Five Satellite Systems The Bip Max includes built-in GPS and supports five satellite positioning systems. This allows the watch to record outdoor activities such as running, walking and cycling without requiring your phone to provide the GPS signal. It also supports offline maps and route navigation. The 4GB internal storage provides space for downloadable maps and other supported content, allowing you to leave your phone behind during compatible outdoor workouts. 4GB Storage for Maps and Podcasts The 4GB internal storage is one of the Bip Max’s more useful upgrades over basic fitness watches. Amazfit states that the storage can accommodate offline maps and up to 100 hours of podcasts. This makes the Bip Max more practical for running and outdoor training because compatible content can be stored directly on the watch instead of relying entirely on a connected smartphone. 150+ Sports Modes The Bip Max supports more than 150 sports modes, covering activities such as running, cycling, strength training, yoga, Pilates, swimming, HYROX and other hybrid workouts. For runners, it includes Track Run mode, smart trajectory correction and Virtual Pacer. It can also connect to compatible external accessories such as heart-rate belts, running power meters and cycling power and cadence sensors. Hybrid Training and Built-in Workouts The Bip Max is designed with hybrid training in mind. Its built-in Training Library provides structured workouts covering areas such as strength, endurance and recovery. You can also create training templates through the Zepp App and configure interval training directly on the watch. Amazfit supports structured training integrations with TrainingPeaks, Runna and Strava, allowing the Bip Max to fit into a wider training ecosystem. Zepp Coach™ Personalised Training Zepp Coach™ provides personalised workout plans based on your performance and recovery. Rather than simply recording an exercise session, it can help structure your training around specific fitness goals. The watch also uses PeakBeats™ to provide performance information such as VO₂ Max, Training Load, Training Effect and other workout metrics. BioCharge™ Energy Monitoring The Bip Max introduces BioCharge™ energy monitoring, which considers factors such as workouts, daily activity, stress and recovery to provide an indication of your current energy and readiness. This complements conventional fitness measurements by giving you a broader view of how activity and recovery is affecting your overall readiness for exercise. 24/7 Health Monitoring The Bip Max uses Amazfit’s BioTracker 6.0 PPG biometric sensor with a 5PD + 2LED configuration. It supports continuous monitoring of heart rate, blood-oxygen saturation and stress. The watch also supports heart-rate recovery, HRV and one-tap measurement. One-tap measurement can assess heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and breathing rate together in approximately 45 seconds. These measurements are intended for general wellness and fitness tracking and should not be treated as a replacement for professional medical equipment or medical advice. Sleep and Recovery Tracking The Bip Max uses RestoreIQ™ for detailed sleep analysis. It tracks sleep stages including REM sleep, sleep HRV, daytime naps, sleep schedules, sleep breathing quality and overall sleep scores. This information works alongside BioCharge™ and training metrics to help users balance exercise with adequate recovery. Bluetooth Calling The Bip Max has both a microphone and speaker, enabling Bluetooth calling when paired with a compatible smartphone. It can also display smartphone notifications and provide other connected features through the Zepp App. 5 ATM Water Resistance The Bip Max has a 5 ATM water-resistance rating, equivalent to pressure associated with 50 metres of static water depth under the applicable standard. Amazfit states that it is suitable for splashes, snow, showering and swimming. However, 5 ATM does not mean the watch should be used in every water environment. Amazfit specifically advises removing it for hot showers and saunas because excessive heat and steam can affect the water-resistant seal over time. Zepp Flow™ and Smart Features The Bip Max supports Zepp Flow™ voice interaction in supported markets. The watch also provides everyday features including notifications, alarms, weather information, music controls, activity tracking and other smartphone-connected functions. Its compatibility with third-party fitness services such as Strava, TrainingPeaks, adidas Running, komoot, Relive, Google Fit and Apple Health makes it useful for users who already maintain their training history across multiple platforms. Android and iPhone Compatibility The Bip Max works with both Android smartphones and iPhones. Amazfit officially lists compatibility with Android 7.0 or later and iOS 15.0 or later through the Zepp App. Full Amazfit Bip Max Specifications Specification Amazfit Bip Max Display Type AMOLED Display Size 2.07 inches Resolution 432 × 514 pixels Pixel Density 324 PPI Peak Brightness Up to 3,000 nits Display Protection Tempered glass with anti-fingerprint coating Case Dimensions 42.76 × 49.58mm Thickness 13.24mm including heart-rate sensor Weight 52.6g including strap Frame Material Aluminium alloy Case Material Plastic Buttons 2 Water Resistance 5 ATM Microphone Yes Speaker Yes Battery Capacity 550mAh Typical Battery Life Up to 20 days Heavy Use Battery Life Up to 10 days AOD Battery Life Up to 7 days Continuous GPS Battery Life Up to 40 hours Storage 4GB Health Sensor BioTracker 6.0 PPG, 5PD + 2LED Health Monitoring Heart rate, SpO₂, stress, HRV and sleep Energy Monitoring BioCharge™ Movement Sensors Accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light and geomagnetic Positioning 5 satellite positioning systems Bluetooth Bluetooth/BLE 5.3 Sports Modes 150+ Strength Recognition 25 movements Sports Recognition 8 movements Training Platform Zepp Coach™ Performance Metrics VO₂ Max, Training Load, Training Effect and PeakBeats™ Navigation Offline maps and route navigation Smart Features Bluetooth calls, notifications, music control and Zepp Flow™ Strap 22mm liquid silicone Colours Silver, Dark Blue, Carbon Gray Compatible Android Android 7.0 and later Compatible iPhone iOS 15.0 and later App Zepp App Amazfit Bip Max vs Amazfit Bip 6 Feature Amazfit Bip Max Amazfit Bip 6 Display 2.07-inch AMOLED 1.97-inch AMOLED Resolution 432 × 514 390 × 450 Peak Brightness Up to 3,000 nits Up to 2,000 nits Battery 550mAh 340mAh Typical Battery Up to 20 days Up to 14 days Continuous GPS Up to 40 hours Up to 32 hours Storage 4GB Not specified as onboard storage on the official Bip 6 specifications Sports Modes 150+ 140+ Bluetooth Bluetooth 5.3 Bluetooth 5.2 Water Resistance 5 ATM 5 ATM Best For Large display, longer battery and more advanced training/storage features Lower-cost, lightweight everyday fitness smartwatch Who Should Buy the Amazfit Bip Max?
